DESCRIPTION

I am currently working at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg as a lecturer and scientist in economics. My main research interests evolve around issues of technological development and economic catching up, with particular reference to post-transition economies and emerging markets. I analyse conditions of catching up at a macroeconomic level (foreign trade, monetary and exchange rate policy), at the institutional level (competition policy, Intellectual Property Rights Regime), and at a microeconomc level (innovation, foreign direct investment).
